A main feature is the Moisture Control system. This will allow the charge to terminate at a pre-determined moisture content. This takes the speculation out of the drying process and ensures more even drying of the timber. It also controls the speed of the fans via a Variable Speed Drive to ensure that energy is not wasted at any time in the drying steps. |
In-Kiln Alarm System
The control system comes with alarms to detect deviation of control variables outside preset limits, such as high kiln temperature, low wet bulb (over dry), dry wet bulb wick, along with motor failure and communication failure between the PLC and PC.
An alarm condition will cause the kiln to automatically go into pause mode until the fault is rectified and will call the operator via an auto dialer.
 |
One of the main features of Lumber Dry is its advanced Reporting and Management System. You have the ability to select any variable (or multiples of variables) on which to review past and current charge data.
|
Complete recall of past charges can be easily viewed and examined. |
|
Remote Dialing
 |
The kiln can be monitored and operated remotely from another PC via “PC Anywhere” software supplied as part of the package. This ensures that at any time a service person can dial in to remotely check the kiln operation and to advise on the best drying methods. |
Service Commitment
On completion of the Kiln Installation a dedicated staff member will remain on site to commission the kiln and to provide support and advice for the first few charges or until the customer is completely satisfied with the drying results. Staff members are available 24 hrs a day to dial in, and will arrive onsite on request to provide solutions to any concerns the customer may have.
